In murky, but mild conditions, with persistent light fog, Trevor led the first weekend club run of 2017 to the Butcher’s Arms at East Ruston.
From the pick-up point at Banningham the chosen route was out through Buxton and Tunstead, a loop onto the Broads at Horning and Neatishead, before cutting back via Dilham and Honing to the refreshment stop.
Despite today’s reduced mileage with a short afternoon leg, some indulged themselves with a roast dinner, claiming slow withdrawal from the excesses of the festive season.
Barry, Brian, Geoff, Guy, Nick and Trevor were out for the New Year opener.
PC to PC was 52 miles, but individual distances varied a lot.
