On such a glorious cycling day it was a shame that, for a variety of reasons, several Wheelers were unable to make it. Only three riders met at the secondary pick-up at Itteringham. Geoff had already arranged to meet us at the cafe. Despite the route being over generally slow lanes the two younger riders maintained a brisk pace of 26 kph all the way, showing no mercy for the older member of the group who was still on a winter bike, obviously locked in mentally to this year’s late and persistent winter. Outward bound was through Corpusty to Foundry Hill, Tyby, Foulsham, Bintree Mill, Great Heath, Brisley and East Bilney to the pleasant refreshment stop at Gressenhall Museum. Geoff made up the quartet for the ride back by way of Hoe, Woodgate, Elsing, Peaseland, Primrose and Collen Greens, Lenwade, Swannington, the Ratcatcher’s, Cawston, Heydon Park, Oulton, Itteringham and Barningham Winter.
