Ted from University of Plymouth Cycling Club joined six North Norfolk Wheelers for the club run to
Corner’s Cafe, Thyme for Tea, Inspirations, Kingfisher Tearoom, Daisy Tearoom, The Partea Hut, the cafe at Hoe, which is now in its sixth incarnation.
Route: Itteringham, Swannington, Attlebridge, Easthaugh, Fustyweed, Elsing, Pennyspot, Swanton Morley Woodgate, Hoe, Worthing, Waterfall bridge, Billingford, Bintree, Foulsham airfield, Guestwick, Odessa, Blackwater bridge, Little London, Barningham. This 60 odd mile circuit from Pretty Corner makes a good training run when completed non-stop, lumpy enough to remind the heart and lungs that there is more to life than sitting on the threshold all day or the regular rhythms of reps/intervals.
Group: Scott; Malcolm; Harvey; Geoff; David; Brian + Ted.
PC to PC: 61 miles.
Conditions were fabulous for cycling, with warm sun and a freshening wind, which was basically on the tail during the second half.
