Not so long ago a sub-23 minute ride on our course would have been good enough for a top three finish. On Tuesday night were 7 riders under this time showing the progression of time-trialling over the last few years. Charlie Nurse bowed out on his illustrious time-trialling career with the win in under 21 minutes with Matt Ratcliffe second and Mike Padfield third. Triathlete Susie Towning was the fastest lady, with a PB for Sarah Jay close behind.
Thanks to the club and guest riders, timekeepers and marshalls and we look forward to a challenging hilly 18.5m TT next Tuesday.
The club wishes Charlie Nurse all the best for the future as he will be finishing cycling this weekend at the Tour of Cambridge TT and doing a bit of running instead (watch out runners…).
