On the 12th July 2025 two club riders Phil Hurr (VET60+) and Mike Padfield (VET50+) raced on the Lotus test track at Hethel on an 11 mile (5 lap) TT course. This was a chance to ride a traffic free course with a very smooth surface (no pot-holes here!). It is laid to F1 standard (which is no more than 25mm surface variation over 25 metres..). Lotus League has only ever run 2 TT’s prior to this in 2014 and 2015 where the club then had a 4-up team racing.
There was a good turnout with about 50 riders. Mike was 4th overall with a time of 24.24, with Phil 20th in a time of 27.00. Thanks to Lex spedding photography for photos.
The Lotus League is looking to run more TTs next year so hopefully we can race there again next year.
