Club Run to The Corner House Café at Mundesley 19 December 2018

Four Wheelers met at PC in wet conditions for the penultimate Wednesday Club Run of the year to a favourite coastal café. As David C had family commitments Malcolm stepped up to lead today’s ride.

Matlaske, Erpingham, Colby, Suffield, Felmingham, North Walsham, Swafield, Mundesley, Southrepps, Thorpe Market.

On the return leg there was a split at the junction of the A149 and the Roughton Road with 3 Wheelers deciding to return to PC and beyond via the latter. Malcolm returned home via Lower Street and a muddy and partially blocked (due to roadworks) Bradfield.

One of the advantages of leading a ride in the wet (and sometimes mud) and staying in front is that you don’t get mucky from what is thrown up by the rear wheel of the rider in front of you (particularly if the rear mudguard is not a fully fitting one!). The disadvantage is that if you don’t regularly check to see what’s going on behind, and if you have good legs on the day, you can easily forget about others keeping up – over enthusiasm perhaps!
